Terrible! I've got a cold from working all day in the pouring rain and if that weren't enough, when I got home I was told that they had put my dog Dusty* to sleep. She's been real sick for over a week with cancer spread all over her body.
Gaston
PS: *I always name my pets (dogs, cats) after female celebrities I like. I've had a Linda (Ronstadt), a Peggy (Lee), a Chrissie (Evert), a Cappy (Capriati) and a Dusty.

GASTON !!
SORRY TO HEAR YOU'RE UNDER THE WEATHER.. BUT VERY SAD TO HEAR ABOUT DUSTY.
OUR PETS ARE OUR BEST FRIENDS, AND I'M SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.
TALK ABOUT A BAD DAY INDEED. TAKE CARE OF THE COLD, AND TRY TO MAKE PEACE WITH THIS LOSS.
TRUE ENOUGH, NAMING PETS AFTER ARTISTS IS PROBABLY WHAT MOST OF US DO HERE. I CAN'T HAVE PETS IN MY APT. BUILDING, SO A DEAR LADY THAT HAS PASSED NAMED HER STRAY PUP "GYPSY" FOR ME.
MY DAY.. UNEVENTFUL.. I'LL TAKE IT. WORK IS THERE, BUT I HAVE NO ENERGY WITH THE HEAT. I WOKE UP LATE, AND EVEN WORKING FROM HOME.. I HAVE TO CLOCK IN.. BUT, IT WAS OK...
&.. I AM READY FOR STORMS AS PROMISED. THE HEAT IS BAD, BUT THE HUMIDITY IS HARD FOR ME. I LIKE TO SIT OUT AT NIGHT &.. THIS PAST WEEK I FEEL TRAPPED IN MY APT. I'M THANKFUL FOR GOOD NEIGHBORS.. BUT, RATHER THAN SIT OUT.. WE DIAL UP & CHAT !!
ANYWAY.. THAT'S MY DAY SO FAR.. & TONIGHT.. I AM INTO "SUPERNOVA" .. WAITING TO SEE WHO GETS THE BOOT. I DON'T IMAGINE ANYONE HERE IS WATCHING THAT !!
BE SURE TO PUT SOME DUSTY MUSIC ON.. MAYBE A HOT CUP OF TEA AND RELAX. THINK OF DUSTY IN A PEACEFUL PLACE. I AM SORRY .. KATHY ~

Truly sorry for your Dusty, Gaston. You reminded me of a friend of mine who uses to name his pets and even his plants after celebrities, then he has a Madonna, a Janet (Jackson), a Mariah (Carey) an Ashanti and so on. My day was OK, nothing to remember. Just a little less hot than usual.

The heat has turned down here in Southern California (it is forty degrees cooler now than it was on July 22nd).
But here on the homefront, I find myself looking at replacing my computer monitor after having it for a mere three years, because there is some glitch in the wiring that causes it to flicker and sometimes even turn off when I'm on (which accounts, and probably will account in the future, for my temporary absences from the board). Thankfully, I don't have to replace the computer itself. Then I'd probably be off of here for weeks!
