I wasn't alive when he was in the Oval Office, but JFK had an extremely astute mind when it came to the office of the President. And had he not been assassinated when he was...well, it may be speculation to say, but I sure don't think we'd be in the mess we're in today.

Clinton got the nod from me. Kennedy was the other contender for my vote, but his presidency wasn't long enough to have a definitive opinion about him.

Clinton, I would have to say, bought eight years of economic growth and empowerment to everyone in America--except far right-wing Republicans, of course (LOL).
As for Kennedy--here are three words: Cuban Missile Crisis. His ability to defuse what almost turned into World War III by non-stop negotiating, and using the military only as a last resort, made his bullets-shortened presidency one of America's best eras (IMHO).

I don't know JFK well enough as in political ideas. But Clinton I've always found symphethatic and he sure lead the country better than the Bush' before and after him.

I picked JFK because of the "learning from his mistakes" thing. Had he lived we would live in a much better world.
