As you no doubt have noticed I'm trying to breath some new life into this forum. I admit that I neglected participating myself the last few years or so because many of the Goddess regulars didn't seem to like it here, so I just thought "f*** it."
But that's history, what I would like to know from the few active members that we have here is if you think it's worth the effort. It seems unlikely that the number of members, including of course active members, will increase anytime soon. The stats tell me that we have on average more than twenty 'guests' a day who visit this forum, but I have no idea who those people are and they obviously don't like it enough to join. Sending personal invitations to strangers with an interest in music or movies is not possible like with yahoo. I posted two messages at the Goddesses forum about my intentions, but most don't seem to care that much. Not complaining - just telling it like it is. So what it comes down to is: Do you guys think it's worth the effort and time I put into a forum that in all likelihood will have only five or six active members for the forseeable future?

I think it's worth keeping in touch with this site, because I am getting into going back and forth between Yahoo! and here. All of us regulars can offer something new to the table, myself included.
I wouldn't shut it down just yet, Gaston; but I'll leave that decision up to you. Whatever you decide, I'll side with.

I think you'll get who you get. The goddess group regs know about it, its just second nature for them to go there instead of here. Some don't participate there very much other than Ben's game but they weren't thrilled with this format either, so i don't see them rushing over.
But they don't participate much at Yertles group either judging by the numbers of messages each month, although i think he is trying it over on Facebook..Matters not to me.
your regs will stick with you Gaston and we appreciate what you do. just as we did when you were at Goddesses full time.
i would hope you keep up the Hall of Fame anyway. I like this activity and would hate to see it stop like before, but i can understand you being frustrated enough to not want to bother with the time investment for a handful or less participants
your only alternative would be to post in both places like Ben does with his lists but that just seems like added work for a couple of more participants, i wish i had more participants with the Goddess HOF but I'm not going to wander the internet looking for players. They know where the old group is if they've been there before.

That would be the worst thing I could do because it would give them even less of a reason to come here.

I don't have much to add. I like the Forum here & will check in still pretty regularly-- personally I find it much easier to navigate & even easier to post at than Goddesses. Of course, it doesn't have exactly the same 'stream of consciousness/chatty' aspect as 'Goddesses'-- which I think is part of what regulars there LIKE. I like that too in it's own way. I find it much easier here to refer back to stuff or read though stuff again, & like it for that. I don't know that you'll get many folks here (or many more)-- but in reality it seems to me you only need 4 or 5 being fairly active for a fair variety of material. I also like the HOF format here & fun. So, yes it's worth it-- just maybe don't have super high expectations of things changing a lot!

Worth it, I think so. I must admit I get discouraged to post new topics by the amount of posters and replies. That doesn't mean I don't like it here. I also have a dutch forum I post a lot on and the forum of rateyourmusic I also post more lately with a lot of fun games and polls.
