Another one departs us. This time, it is the Czech-born British actor Herbert Lom, most remembered for portraying the increasingly unglued Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus opposite Peter Sellers' rank incompetent Clouseau in the Pink Panther films. Lom passed away this morning in his sleep at home in London at the age of 95. More details at this link: www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-19745910

I've seen all Pink Panther films, quite recently re-watched some of them. He was great in them. I've also seen Ladykillers but don't remember that one very well.

He also did the disfigured Phantom in Hammer Studios' 1962 version of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
Another role Lom had was as another half-mad villain in the 1969 cult sci-fi opus JOURNEY TO THE FAR SIDE OF THE SUN.
