I probably ought to have posted this earlier this week, but it still bears mentioning. Both the Hollywood and literary communities have lost a great writer. Richard Matheson, whose novels include I Am Legend and The Shrinking Man, and the short story and subsequent screenplay for director Steven Spielberg's career-making 1971 made-for-TV thriller DUEL, passed away last Sunday at his home in Calabasas, California.
