Looking for suggestions...a fun game might be a six degrees game, wherein whomever is named is connected by five other people. Yes, this seems to have worked with Kevin Bacon in movies. Would it work in music? Would we need to limit the genre (probably). Would seem apropro to use Linda Ronstadt, but is that feasible?
Ideas? Is this one stupid?

Can be fun... for example try linking Linda to Iggy Pop. Could that be done in 6 steps?

I think it is as good an idea as any... I believe that six degrees is the maximum allowed.. for example, who can connect say, Emmylou Harris to Pat Benatar in six degrees or less..

Okay, let's give it a shot. It would really be good to look at lifeoriley's Wikopedia link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin_Bacon. Don't worry about six degrees...the goal would be fewest possible in the time allotted. This first time, let's try Arjan's suggestion. Link Linda Ronstadt to Iggy Pop in as few steps as possible. A link would be a duet, a concert tour tgether, perhaps even a movie or television show. Be prepared to defend yourself if anybody challenges you! Let's close this one on Friday at 6 pm Mountain time (that's 5 pm Pacific, 7pm Central, and 8pm Eastern...I don't know any place other than those!). Whoever has the fewest valid links Friday afternoon gets to dictate the next linkage...no, doesn't have to be Linda, in fact, let's not get in a rut! ;-) A link from Stevie Nicks to Tom Petty only requires one link. But this one is Linda Ronstadt to Iggy Pop. Have fun! I'm curious if this catches on or not! Andrew

haha i remember once making a snide remark over in the Goddess group about members of the Church of Ronstadt being able to play Six Degrees of Linda with any other singer that got mentioned over there. Now it has indeed come to pass. If this was the Old Testament, I'd be a prophet. Ron

Awesome Walt...don't list to Ron, who is intensely jealous. If we want to keep on playing you can start anywhere and land anywhere, totally up to you.
