Actor Eli Wallach has passed at age 98. Among his best known roles were Silva Vaccarro in "Baby Doll", the bandit leader Calvera in "The Magnificent Seven", Tuco in the spaghetti western, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" and Guido in "The Misfits".

I agree, he was extremely versatile as an actor. It is kind of ironic that two of his best-known roles were as, more or less, Mexican bandidos. And the scene between him, Clint Eastwood, and Lee Van Cleef in the cemetery standoff at the climax of THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY must rank as one of the most sweat-inducing scenes in any movie, Western or otherwise (IMHO).
