I really liked Harry and Tonto but the rest of his stuff varied from mildly entertaining to definite channel changers. For me anyway.

Besides Harry and Tonto, I liked Blume in Love, and maybe his most underrated film, Enemies, a Love Story,

I liked those, also Moscow on the Hudson. But overall I think his films uneven.

I think he was also one of those miscreants in the 1955 classic THE BLACKBOARD JUNGLE, along with Sidney Poitier and Vic Morrow, if I'm not mistaken.
