Why is it that these celebrity deaths seem to happen in threes in such close proximity? We lost James Garner just a few weeks ago. We lost Robin Williams just yesterday. And now, we have to bid farewell to the ultra-legendary Lauren Bacall, who passed away today at the age of 89: insidemovies.ew.com/2014/08/12/lauren-bacall-dies/

Cool lady, very distinctive talent. She had a very good run for sure though. Not many left now from the 'Golden Age' of Studio Hollywood era. Sigh.

I'm afraid to find out.
Great line of hers from TO HAVE AND HAVE NOT, to her future hubby, Bogey: "Just put your lips together, and blow."

There aren't that many around anymore from the golde era of Hollywood. Olivia De Havilland, Doris Day, Maureen O'Hara and Luise Rainer. Can't think of anyone else besides those.

Angela Lansbury is still around, & still doing stage stuff anyway. Doris Day is still around, if long time retired of course. I think Jane Powell and Leslie Caron are still around too. . . Not many though now.
