Going to start a new thread and game. Lets see how it goes....
Simple!
You ask a personal question and answer it yourself as well. The next person posting answers your question and asks a new question answering his/her question as well.
Ask questions like, favorite color, favorite singer, age, favorite age, favorite song.
Hope this makes sense to everyone!
Here it goes....

What was the first album you ever remember buying Elton John's Greatest Hits
Marty, I like to write fiction and songs, but creative outburts don't come along too often, but when they do it is a great feeling.

First concert I ever went to was Murray the K at the Brooklyn Fox, starring Motown (including the Supremes and Martha and the Vandallas) , the Searchers, Little Anthony and the Imperials, the Ronnettes, Mille Small, and Dusty Springfield. I was 12 years old and begged my mother to take me. It was FANTASTIC!!!!!! The concerts were continual for the price of the admission and I stayed for two shows. Guess I was more reasonable in those days, today you couldn't get me out of the theater!
Question: What was the last CD you bought?
I just won on ebay Michael Ball's original cast recording of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Haven't received it yet.

Last album I bought was "Lonelyville" by jazz/avant pianist Sylvie Courvoisier-- don't have yet. Just got another by female Israeli jazz pianist Anat Fort (she lives in NYC) "A Long Story." Haven't played yet.
Pop-- latest Lucinda Williams, "West." I like it-- as I said only played once. 'Twofer' of Wreckless Eric, "Big Smash" last few days too-- great raucous fun.
Classical-- don't have yet but the first issue of Joseph Keilberth's conducting Wagner's "Gotterdammerung" live at Bayreuth 1955. Last one out of great historical 'Ring' cycle. & recent Christa Ludwig reissue of her Schubert Lieder album mid '60's w. a couple additions on CD. Nice-- I had it when first out on LP but lost in moving years ago. Ed

The most recent pop CD I got was Elvis' 1973 Aloha! Live From Hawaii Via Satellite, arguably the most successful album the King had during the 1970s.
DVD-wise, I got THE U.S. VS. JOHN LENNON, which documents Lennon's efforts to stay in our country despite all the worst intentions of the paranoid Nixon cabal to deport him. It'll make for a nice 3 1/2-hour double bill with the Dixie Chicks doc SHUT UP AND SING, which I believe is being released today,

I honestly can't remember what I had at home now (it was so damp tape wouldn't stick to the cave walls & nails hadn't been invented yet! ;D). In college, first two & I got 'bout the same time were one of Judy Collins-- large size of the "Wildflowers" album cover & one real pretty one of actress Anouk Aimée. Ed

Hi Kat, Thanks for asking! YES, I got tickets!!! ;D I will be seeing Michael Ball and meeting up with some of my Dusty friends (people I met on Dusty forums over the years) in Blackpool. I've also made a few new friends on Michael's forum. The seats aren't great. but they were the best I can get. The concert is on March 17th, can hardly wait. I hope the tickets arrive soon! I will be in England/Wales (northern Wales, Blackpool, Liverpool, and Manchester) between March 15-21, leaving the US on the 14th for an overnight flight Wish I could stay longer, but my schedule does not permit me to do so. If anyone else will be in this area and interested in meeting up, please give me a PM. BTW, my first concert that I mentioned earlier was back in 1964 and dirt cheap even for those days. I cannot remember the price, it was so long ago, but I am sure it wasn't more than five dollars, probably less! Nothing like those 60's as far as I'm concerned! Marty I just won on ebay Michael Ball's original cast recording of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Haven't received it yet. Marty CONGRATS MARTY !! JUST WONDERING, YOU WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO HIS CONCERT..
