I think though he had a rather limited range, a good actor in his way. He also was good at 'deadpan,' so was an interesting 'bad guy' in some roles, as well as The Man From UNCLE show, which I enjoyed a lot as a kid.

I admit that Vaughn's range as an actor was kind of limited, but I do think that he had this same habit that Robert Ryan did, of playing bad guys and villains who were so atypical of who he really was in life.
They have recently done reruns of The Man From U.N.C.L.E., though you kind of wish that for the recent cinematic remake both Vaughn and David McCallum could have done cameos (IMHO).
